The sandman is coming

After putting together a sketchy bio, grant justification, and searching for jobs - I am ready to go to bed.... ah, after I've checked twitter:D

A corporate mess - or is it just too many women in one setting...

Working in a setting in which no manager has been present for nearly 2 years, surely gurantees for culture shock when a newly started manager is flexing her muscles to impress staff and administration.... only what happens when all underlying problems are not addressed and quick fixes are implemented? This is a rather rhetoric question - and of course the answer is - a monstrous mess with lots of chaos and constant disagreement.

It seems so logic in even plain every day socilizing that decisions are made by interaction and and discussions between people. However, when decissions are made over people's head and don't agree with their needs, how do they react.... the answer is the same as above.

So, my little evasive anecdote is simply stating that when corporations attempt to bring quick fixes for short term changes but neglect to include the longterm development, the logic is even clear for "caged chicken" (as we say in Danish) = failure, disagreement, chaos. Adding to that is that my worksetting has an abundance of women who don't say things outright but beat around the bush.... I'm sure this would be a textbook example for industrial psychologists or such. So, now, that I'd rid of this aggrevating thought, I'll go to bed and let that soap bubble burst.

Gone! Nice! There's a new day tomorrow.

A bad Sunday

What a day. I spoke to my mother, who recently was diagnosed with colon cancer. She received a letter from the head surgeon stating that the PET scan findings agreed with the suspected findings from the recently performed surgery: cancer on the liver. Of course, my mother is scared, and feel absolutely guilty to be thousands of miles away from her and my father to provide mental support. In conclusion, my Sunday has been an absolute rollercoaster.
